Backup your Blogger Template

This is always a good idea to backup your Blogger Template before you make any changes in your template. If you run into any problems after editing or changing anything in your template, you can restore the backup file to revert to its previous stage.

Go to Template page to Backup and Restore

  • In the left top, click this Down-Arrow-IconDrop Down Icon and choose the blog.
  • In the left menu, click Template

How to Backup your Blogger Template

  • In the top right, click Backup / Restore.
  • A pop-up dialog will appear, click Download template.

Note: A backup file (e.g. template-803593589688485750.xml) will be downloaded in your PC. Keep the file in a safe place of your Computer.

How to Restore your Blogger Template

  • In the top right, click Backup / Restore.
  • A pop-up dialog will appear, click Choose File.

  • Choose the backup .xml file you’ve saved before in your PC. The image below with red marked represents that it’s an XML file.
